JAYAPRAKASH RAO A/L PAIDIAH GENGUNAIDU is a Barrister-at-Law of the Honorable Society of KING’S INNS, Republic of Ireland and holds a Bachelor-of-Laws (Hons.) degree from UNIVERSITY OF WALES, CARDIFF. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 28th October 2000 when he practiced as a Legal Assistant in MESSRS BAN ENG ANUAL & FOONG. He joined MESSRS LIM KEAN SIEW & CO in September 2003 and was promoted to junior partner in 2006. On 1st January 2011, he was made an equity partner in MESSRS LIM KEAN SIEW & CO. JAYAPRAKASH RAO A/L PAIDIAH GENGUNAIDU heads the civil litigation department. He was counsel in a number of trials and hearings reported in the Malaysian law journal. He specialises in contract law, corporate and commercial disputes where he appeared at all levels of the court. He has extensive experience involving corporate and commercial advisory work. He has been involved in restructuring of companies, takeover and merger of companies, commercial agreements and venture capital where he advised and drafted agreements in relations thereto. In the recent months, he has been appointed as solicitor for multi-million transactions involving listed companies whereby their investments in Penang are reported in the newspaper. He is a licensed trademarks agent duly registered with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO). He is legal advisor to:- 1. PENANG CHINESE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE; 2. HAN CHIANG HIGH SCHOOL and HAN CHIANG MULTIMEDIA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE’s BOARD OF GOVERNORS; and 3. THE PENANG GOLDSMITHS & JEWELLERS ASSOCIATION.
